Watsonia tabularis - photographed on an unusually misty day near the dam at Silvermine in January 2010. It is a Cape Peninsula endemic - found only on the Table Mountain chain.
W.tabularis is hardy, water-wise and summer-flowering, when not much else is in flower. Yet it's not available in the horticultural trade. Shouldn't we be growing and promoting local indigenous species in Cape Town?
(sigh)
